Billy Currington
Friday May 4th, 8 PM
Tickets are $10, $15, $20, $25 and $30
Official Website |
Although success has carried country singer/songwriter Billy Currington far away from his beloved hometown of Rincon, Georgia, he remains the same simple man who was indelibly shaped by his upbringing in this small southern town with a population of 4,376.
Currington began writing songs as a teenager and began playing guitar at age 17. “I still have my first guitar and the receipt for it,” he says. “I bought it at a pawn shop in Savannah, Georgia, for about $120.” Currington burst onto the music scene in 2003 with his debut CD, which contained the powerful Top 10 hit “Walk a Little Straighter” and the fun Top 5 smash “I got a Feelin’,” which was accompanied by the memorable video co-starring Baywatch beauty Gena Lee Nolin.
When superstar Shania Twain heard Currington’s soulful voice, she knew she had found the perfect partner for the country duet “Party for Two,” so Currington excitedly boarded a plane for Europe to work in the studio with Twain and legendary producer Robert “Mutt” Lange. Currington and Twain performed the song live on the 2004 Country Music Association Awards and a special Good Morning America show from Nashville.
Currington co-wrote four songs on Doin’ Somethin’ Right – “Why, Why, Why,” “Here I Am,” “Whole Lot More” and “She’s Got A Way With Me.”
Although he seems to be a long way from Rincon, Georgia, Currington remembers his roots and the hard work it took to get him to Nashville. I love what I’m doing now. “I am so thankful that I get to do what I love.”

Davy Jones
Saturday May 5th, 8 PM
Tickets are $15, $20, $25, $30 and $35
Official Website |
As a member of the legendary 60’s band, The Monkees, Davy Jones is one of the world’s most recognized performers. With a mischievous smile and British accent to die for, Davy Jones invaded teen hearts and homes as the breakout heartthrob of the 60’s television classic The Monkees. The international idol of millions, Davy has continued to wow audiences worldwide with his solo concerts and numerous television appearances.
Although best known as one of The Monkees, Davy was wowing audiences on Broadway long before television anointed him America’s “Dream Prom Date.” It was in the BBC Radio Studios of Manchester, England, that Davy’s career began at the age of 11. On the still-running soap opera Coronation Hall Street, Davy made such an impression that theatrical agents found him three years later (working as an apprentice jockey in New Market) and brought him to London. There he would appear as The Artful Dodger in the smash hit West End production of Oliver! Davy also originated the role on Broadway, and at age 16 found himself the toast of New York, complete with a Tony Award nomination.
Davy was soon offered a contract with Columbia Pictures/Screen Gems Television, and the rest is history. The Monkees television series won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Television Series of 1966, and was an international smash, reaching millions of viewers. Album sales for the band surpassed all records and continued to be best sellers 30 years later.
It is the theatre, however, that remains Davy’s first love. Since the 70’s Davy has appeared in national touring companies of Oliver! reprising the role of The Artful Dodger, and later appearing as Fagin, which received rave reviews. He has starred in productions of The Boyfriend, Harry Nilsson’s The Point (in London’s West End), and God Spell.
Davy’s most famous guest spot is the classic episode of The Brady Bunch, which remains the most aired re-run in television history. He also appeared in the 1995 film The Brady Bunch Movie.
An extremely able horseman, Davy maintains his amateur jockey license and on February 1, 1996, Davy won his first race under rules in England, riding his ace horse, Digpast. Judging from Davy’s many accomplishments and successes thus far, it is clear to see he is the true incarnation of a Daydream Believer!

The Grass Roots |
One of the most listened to voices on radio from the mid 1960s through the early 1970s belongs to the Grass Roots lead vocalist, Rob Grill.
Now, nearly 30 years later, one of the most recognized voices on “Classic Rock” stations continues to be that of Rob Grill. During all that time, Rob Grill and The Grass Roots have averaged over 100 live performances each year.
Rob is a native of Hollywood, California where he attended Hollywood High School. Soon after graduation, Rob began working at American Recording Studios with some of his musician friends: Cory Wells and Hohn Kay who later formed Three Dog Night and Steppenwolf, respectively. Convinced to start his own band, Rob and three others formed The Grass Roots. Teaming up with mega-hit producer Steve Barri (The Mamas & The Papa’s, Tommy Roe, Four Tops and Dusty Springfield), The Grass Roots went on to chart 29 singles, 13 of which went gold, followed by two gold albums and one platinum album. Their CD, “The Grass Roots Anthology” on Rhino Records, was released in 1993 and remains a strong seller today.
Today, Rob sounds stronger than he did when he recorded all those great Grass Roots’ hits. Combine that with the band’s sincere appreciation for all their fans and you have a show that is filled with solid gold hits, solid entertainment, and memories that will not soon be forgotten!
Some impressive facts about The Grass Roots:
