
OC Air Show soars into Ocean City, Maryland June 10–11
It’s full throttle ahead in Ocean City, MD for the town’s first-ever air show. The OC Air Show will help kick off the town’s 2008 summer season on June 10-11, adding a new signature attraction to Ocean City’s roster of annual events.
Military aircraft demonstrations, low altitude flyovers and civilian aerobatic performances will take place over the Ocean City beachfront from noon to 3 p.m. each day. The air show will be visible along the majority of the Boardwalk creating an inspiring experience for visitors while they enjoy the hospitality of Ocean City’s beach and attractions.
Interactive displays and exhibits will be open to the public on the streets surrounding Show Center, that will be located at 16th Street on the Boardwalk where premium viewing opportunities and hospitality chalets will be available to businesses and public attendees.
The Ocean City Municipal Airport will host an open house in conjunction with the OC Air Show on Monday, June 9, where performing aircraft can be viewed up close along with other aircraft. |

T he
Ocean City Municipal Airport is located 3 miles west of town, just
off
Rt. 611 in West Ocean City. It is open year round except for Thanksgiving
Day, Christmas Day, and New Years Day. From mid-May through mid-September,
the terminal building is open 8am to 6pm Sunday through Wednesday,
and 8am to 8pm Thursday through Saturday. After 1 October, we will go to 8:00AM - 5:00PM daily. We will maintain those hours until approximately 1 May, 2008
Late arrivals. Please use the registration box located at the Terminal building to register your aircraft if you arrive after the office is closed. Please display the attached parking pass in the windshield of your aircraft. Parking fee is $10 for overnight tie-down.
"Good Neighbor" Project
- Please limit operations to the time between 7:00AM and 10:00PM.
- Noise Abatement Procedures are in effect at OXB. Please be considerate of the residential areas located north and south of the airport.
- All traffic patterns are left traffic.
- Please maintain 500 ft AGL until established on final approach.
- Please do not cut short your patterns. Pattern altitude is 1,000 ft AGL.
- To avoid pattern congestion, and for noise purposes, please use best rate of climb and a straight out departure procedure if leaving the OXB area.
