New to our fall program line up, we would like to introduce our Teen Movie Night.
This program is geared toward High School Students. We will be showing a movie to be announced at a late date at our Northside Park Recreation Complex on our giant projection movie screen. There will be free popcorn and drinks offered to all participants. We will also have a concession stand open to purchase food, candy, and more! Come on out, bring some friends, and enjoy the show!

On Thursday, November 13, Salisbury University Men’s Basketball Team will conduct a clinic from 5:15 - 6:00 p.m. for all players. Practices will follow the clinic. COASTAL BAYS NATURE CLINIC *160111
Ocean City Recreation and Parks is teaming up with the Maryland Costal Bays Program and Delmarva Low Impact Tourism Experiences (DLITE) to bring this brand new clinic to our already outstanding fall program line up. In this hands-on clinic, participants will experience nature up-close. They will get their hands dirty and their feet wet and get eye-to-eye with other species. Participants will discover the riches of the coastal bay habitats and learn how scientists test water quality, utilize collection techniques, identify plant and animal species, and evaluate human impacts to assess overall habitat quality. Participants will connect with nature, hone observation skills, and develop a sharpened sense of the natural world!

The indoor game of soccer is much different than the outdoor game. It moves faster, many more goals are scored, and there are fewer players on the field which allows more contact with the ball. SWIMMING LESSONS:
Splish splash...Learn to swim in a flash. Four different levels of swimming lessons are offered to participants 4 years of age and older. Please read the descriptions below and register your child for the most appropriate skill level. Skills testing will be conducted on the first day of class and the instructor has the option of moving children to a more appropriate skill level.
Level I: *141101 A-C
The objective of level I is to help participants feel comfortable and safe in the water. They will be taught entry, exit and how to fully submerge their face in the water. They will learn buoyancy control, proper kicking on front and back, and the front crawl alternating arm action. The basics of rhythmic breathing will be introduced.
Level II: *141102 A-C
The objective of level II is to achieve success with fundamental skills. Participants will learn to perform floats and glides unsupported. They will learn to hold their breath and fully submerge their heads while retrieving objects. Front crawl breathing and arm strokes will be further developed and combined with the flutter kick.
Level III: *141103 A-B
In order to enter level III, a student must be able to float on their front and back unsupported. They should be able to demonstrate the rhythmic breathing and alternating arm action of the front crawl. Students in level III will build on skills mastered in level II including front and back crawl with coordinated arm and leg movements. They will learn elementary backstroke, the fundamentals of treading water, and jumping entry into deep water.
Level IV: *141104 A
The objective of level IV is to refine strokes learned in level III. The focus is to develop a well-coordinated front crawl, back crawl and elementary backstroke. New skills include the basics of wall turns, breaststroke and sidestroke.

The Camp Director is Kevin Darcy. Kevin is the Technical Director for Chesterfield United Soccer Club. His formally the Director of Coaching for the Virginia Legacy Soccer Club, Head Coach For the Williamsburg Legacy PDL Team, a member of the Virginia Olympic Development Program Staff, a former pro player with Eastern Shore Sharks, Baltimore Bays and Maryland Mania.
