What time is best for us to start to head to OC from College Park this weekend, so it doesn’t take us 9 hours to get there? And what’s the best route?

If you are in Ocean City by 10 am, you should not hit much traffic. I would leave by 6:30 am and take Route 50 East to Ocean City.

Hunt Valley and Ocean City Answered: August 13, 2019 Insider Since 2010I assume you mean College Park, MD. It is about an hour from there to the Bay Bridge, so I would plan to leave College Park NLT 7am. The Bay Bridge tolls start getting backed up between 8 and 9am on Saturdays during the summer.
The best Route is the Inner loop of the Beltway (I-495) to US Route 50 East. Continue on Route 50 East about 140 miles. Route 50 East ends in Ocean City.
