Are the boardwalk shops open in early October or do they close for the season?

Many boardwalk shops stay open all year at least on weekends, especially if the weather is nice. About 75% of shops are open everyday until at least Columbus Day. After that, fewer and fewer are open on weekdays until they begin expanding their schedules again in late March.

Bayville, NJ Answered: September 13, 2019 Insider Since 2010Many are open weekends from 10 am until 5 pm for the entire month of October. Some are open all year on weekends provided the weather is nice. We found shops open in early December last year.
