Are there any shower houses at the State Park or National Park on Assateague Island?Submitted by James K, Mount Wolf PA on July 30, 2019
There are showers available on the Federal side of the park. They are cold water showers. They are technically available for campers, so I am not sure if they can be used by everyone. You can call the park for more information at (410) 641-1441 (press 3).View all answers to this question (2) »
Can you use canopies on the beach?Submitted by Louis C, Jeannette PA on July 31, 2019
You can use canopies. We see them often. I highly recommend making sure they are weighted down and well secured. We see them tip often. They also need to be set up closer to the dunes - west of the lifeguard stands - to ensure the lifeguards can see the beach.View all answers to this question (3) »

My daughters just bought a puka shell necklace and a shell necklace on the Boardwalk. The necklaces are at most beach stores. I know Sunsations also sells them.View all answers to this question (3) »
Where are the boardwalks that are laid further out down the beach?Submitted by Doris L, Ocean Pines MD on July 29, 2019
They are located below 2nd Street. The walkways extend about halfway into the beach area. You can also get closer to the ocean by walking towards the fishing pier and taking the steps down into the sand. That is the shortest walk to the ocean.View all answers to this question (2) »
Where can I park overnight?Submitted by Steve H, Columbia PA on July 29, 2019
You can park overnight on almost any public street that does not specifically prohibit parking. This means almost any street above 10th street. Just be sure to read any street signs and you are fine to park if not restricted.
There are also several private lots that offer overnight parking below 4th street.View all answers to this question (4) »
What is traffic like when traveling to OC on a Friday? I'll be traveling on Route 113 to Route 50.Submitted by Terri H, Lewis Run PA on July 29, 2019
Your easier route may be to take 113 to Route 1 in Delaware. If you take that route, traffic will be lighter. You should not hit any major traffic on that route.
If you take 50, I would leave at 6 pm, as traffic on 50 will be heaver until about 8 pm.View all answers to this question (2) »
Do you have any recommendations on getting to OC by bus?Submitted by Janice H, Harrisburg, Pa PA on July 29, 2019
The best option to get to OC by bus is Greyhound. They have an online tool, but I suggest calling them at 800.231.2222 to find a route since many connections that can get you to OC do not show up on their online tool.
Once you arrive in OC, you can take the shuttle bus from the West OC Park-and-Ride lot where the Greyhound station is located. This shuttle bus will take you to the South OC Bus Station at South Division Street. From there you can transfer to a bus that will take you almost anywhere in town. The fare covers all OC buses for the day.View all answers to this question (3) »
Can I take a ferry if I am driving from Fredericksburg, VA to Ocean City?Submitted by Jenny J, Fredericksburg VA on July 29, 2019
There is no ferry that would be practical for you to take. You could drive to Cape May, NJ and take the ferry over to Lewes, DE if you wanted. That would add about 4-6 hours to your trip.View all answers to this question (3) »
