Springfest Travel Itinerary: Make the Most of the Music, Food, & Art

On Thursday, April 23, Springfest gates will open up at 10am. As you make your way in for day one of the festival, start your morning with the Springfest Opening Ceremony! Head to the Midway stage for opening remarks and a performance from the OC Stars.

Throughout the day, 6 different bands will take the Beach and Midway stages. Enjoy performances from Nick Ferraro & The All Stars, Bryan & The Barn Owls, Zydeco-a-Go-Go, Poole & the Gang, Romeo Delight: “The Ultimate Van Halen Experience”, and Parrot Beach.

New to Springfest this year is street painting! Get into the spring spirit with extra color all around the festival thanks to designs by various street painters. Enjoy walking through an array of colorful designs and watching the artists bring different pieces to life over the course of the four festival days! It will be incredible to see the art begin on Friday and grow over the weekend, ultimately wrapping up on Sunday.

In addition to the professional street painters, The Art League will also be hosting a kids’ street painting area! If you’re at the festival with little ones, be sure to stop The Art League’s booth to let the kids get in on the fun.

After enjoying watching the street painting take shape, head into the Arts & Crafts tents to explore unique goods from various vendors! Springfest is proud to bring together exceptional artists and exhibitors. Enjoy a wide variety of handmade goods including clothing, textiles, glass, jewelry, metal, painting, photography, pottery, specialty foods, and more!

Finally, wrap up your Thursday with a visit to the Performing Arts Center to see The Fabulous Hubcaps. This will kick off the Spring Showcase! You won’t want to miss it.

It’s time for day two of Springfest! Today, exciting live performances will take place from Fast Times at Shermer High, Monkee Paw, Elvis Tribute Jim Barone, Kittyback, Morgan State Choir, and Grand Illusion “Styx Tribute.” Enjoy this live music all day long as you take in the sights, sounds, and activities of the festival. Friday is a great day to try something delicious from the food trucks! New this year at Springfest is the addition of a variety of food trucks. Be sure to arrive hungry, because you’re going to want to try everything! There will be mac and cheese, sweet treats, smoothie bowls, and more.

After grabbing a bite to eat, head around the festival grounds to explore a variety of goods from the Midway vendors! Check out the array of high-quality items. From cutting-edge technology to stylish clothing and accessories to gifts, you're sure to find something that catches your eye.

Once the day’s Springfest fun wraps up, head up to the Performing Arts Center for the second PAC show of the Spring Showcase! Friday night will feature Who’s Bad: The Michael Jackson Experience!

Welcome to Saturday at Springfest! Saturday’s music will feature Lennon La Ricci & The Leftovers, Callum, Free State Country Band, Tommi Boi, Kayleigh Clark from The Voice with Special Guest Stephanie Bell and Little Rock, and the Fitzkee Brothers. Here’s the full music schedule!

After jamming out to some music, head over to grab a bite from the festival food tents! With a new outdoor setup this year, expect more of the great Springfest food that you love, like gyros, bbq, and so much more!

Saturday is a great day to make your way into the Gourmet Food Tent. New to Springfest this year, the tent will be dedicated to delicious gourmet food items like small-batch jams, infused olive oils, specialty spreads, and other gourmet finds that are perfect for taking home or gifting.

Last but not least, round out your Springfest Saturday for another Spring Showcase Performing Arts Center show! The night will be headlined by Are You Ready for It? A Taylor Swift Experience. It’s sure to be a great time.

It may be the final day of Springfest, but that doesn’t mean the fun has to stop! From 10am-6pm, enjoy a variety of music. The day will feature Island Fusion, The Uptown Band, Randy Lee Ashcraft & The Saltwater Cowboys, Cash Only, Katz 22, HFS Band, and Michael Sky Band.

As you round out your Springfest weekend, head back over to see the completed street painting! It will be so neat to see how the designs took shape over the weekend. They will be located all around the northern part of the festival grounds!
