Can you believe it? The official OC summer season is here! Though it’s only the beginning of June, summer’s biggest celebration, the 4th of July, is just around the corner. This year is extra special and we're celebrating even bigger because it’s the United States’ 250th Anniversary! We put together a weekend-long itinerary to help you make the most of the holiday weekend. The itinerary takes you all around town, with Friday focusing on downtown, Saturday on midtown, and Sunday on uptown. And though these suggestions may be more than you can fit into a single day, it’s a great way to get some recommendations and try something new!

Friday - Downtown

Back to Top of List

Here early on Friday? Perfect! Start your morning in Ocean City with some delicious donuts and coffee from Quickies Donuts on 11th Street & the boardwalk. This grab-and-go option is perfect for picking up prior to viewing the sunrise! For reference, the sunrise will be at 5:41 AM on Friday, July 3rd. If that’s too early for you, spend the morning taking in the sights and sounds with a walk along the boardwalk.

Once your walk is wrapped up, head over to Talbot Street for an exciting ride on the Duckaneer at Talbot Street Watersports! It’s a family-friendly experience that kids are sure to love.

Lunch calls for some time on the bay. Head to 21st Street for a relaxing outdoor lunch at Fish Tales. The seafood burrito is a must!

Learn something new about the town at the newly opened (last spring) Museum of Ocean City! Located on Dorchester Street, the gorgeous museum features exhibits on the town’s history, the previous businesses that occupied the building, local wildlife, and more.

Just a block up from the museum is Soprano’s Pizza! Stop in after your learning session to refuel with a slice or two. Last but not least, round out the day with some thrilling rides and boardwalk games at Jolly Roger on the Pier. From the Giant Wheel to the Double Decker Venetian Carousel, expect excitement and fun!

After class, head down to 58th Street with your group for a delicious breakfast at Bad Monkey! Their breakfast menu features a mouth watering Nutella French Toast, a favorite among regulars. It’s the 4th of July, so it’s only right to spend some time soaking up the sun on the beach! Stick to midtown or head anywhere around town to grab a spot on the sand and relax.

Once your beach session ends, head over to Ropewalk on 82nd Street for a lunch on the bay. The atmosphere is great for the entire family, and there are a variety of seating options where you can choose to dine indoors, enjoy the open air, or soak up the sun!

Spend the afternoon enjoying a thrill and taking in sky-high views of Ocean City with OC Parasail! This is sure to add a memorable experience to your vacation. After, unwind with dinner on the bay at Saltwater 75.

Division Street for a multi-stage setup featuring music, live painting and fireworks. The evening will kick off at 6pm with The Broken Hearts: A Tribute To Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers.
