This summer is an exciting one because it’s America’s 250th Anniversary! We can’t wait to celebrate with you all summer long. From bigger and better-than-ever July 4th fireworks to the Summer Send Off, here are all of the ways that you can take part in the free fun this summer!

This 4th of July, the Ocean City celebrations are bigger and better than ever.

Downtown will feature musical performances from two different bands, along with a live speed painter! Catch The Broken Hearts: A Tribute To Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers at 6pm, followed by live speed painter Jessica K Haas at 7pm. Rounding out the evening will be Real Diamond: The Premier Neil Diamond Tribute Band at 8pm, followed by the annual fireworks at 9:30pm!

Uptown at Northside Park, enjoy music from DJ BK and Radio Ocean City starting at 8pm, followed by fireworks at 9:30pm. We can’t wait to celebrate with you at one of these two beloved annual celebrations!

Movies on the Beach

Each week, enjoy four free events around town! These family-friendly experiences are a highlight for both visitors and locals.

On Wednesday nights June 3-August 12 at dusk (about 8:30pm), head to the 118th Street beach (behind the Carousel) for a movie on the sand! Movies on the Beach are a great way to relax under the stars after a day spent basking in the sunshine.

On Sunday nights June 7-August 30, head up to Northside Park for weekly Sundaes in the Park! With live music, ice cream, and even fireworks, it’s the perfect way to close out the weekend each Sunday. The fun runs from 7-9pm, with fireworks following.

Sunset Park Concerts return July 9th from 7-9pm for weekly live music though August 27th! Bring your chair and get ready to enjoy the live tunes while watching the sunset.

Finally, Thursdays at 9:30pm are home to weekly Thursday Night Fireworks at Caroline Street! Join us each week for a magical display under the stars.

On August 4th, the Life Saving Station Museum will celebrate America’s 250th and the Coast Guard’s 236th year with Angels in Oilskins! Summer Send Off Drone Show

Bid the summer farewell with the Summer Send Off this August! The spectacular display will feature glowing hot air balloons, a high-energy laser show, and giant kites dancing above the sand. Depending on wind conditions, you’ll see either massive, colorful kites fill the air, OR tethered hot air balloons create a breathtaking skyline. This free event will take place on two days during the weekend of August 27-30, weather dependent.
