While most travelers pack away their beach gear as soon as Labor Day rolls around, seasoned Ocean City visitors know a secret: autumn is the best time of year to visit. If you've never experienced Ocean City after August, here is why your next trip needs to happen this fall.

sunrise

Selfishly this is my favorite time of year! The mornings start crisp and refreshing as you watch the sunrise over the Atlantic Ocean with a sweatshirt on and take a peaceful walk along the boardwalk right after. Midday brings glorious warmth—the ocean water is still warm from the summer months, making it perfect for soaking up the sun in your swimsuit. As evening approaches, the air turns pleasantly crisp once more, inviting you to bundle up in a cozy sweater for dinner and drinks. Catch a breath-taking sunset on the bay while dining at The Angler, enjoying fresh seafood and their wonderful happy hour specials. With lighter traffic and uncrowded beaches, you get to experience the beauty of OC at your own relaxing pace!
