Do you like ghost stories? How about cruising around in the bay? If you answered “yes,” you’re in for a treat! The Ghosts of Golden Hour Sunset Cruise is a 1.5 hour adventure through the bay. Catch a ride and cruise the water with Chesapeake Ghosts as the sun sets and you enjoy tales of pirates, sailors, shipwrecks, and more. Cruises take place each Wednesday from now through the end of October.

Get in the spooky spirit on an Ocean City Ghost Walk! This 1 hour and 45 minute walking experience is a guided tour that begins at the OC Life Saving Station Museum and takes you all around downtown. Presented by Chesapeake Ghosts and suitable for both adults and kids! Tours take place every Tuesday with a few additional days through October.

Join Ocean City Recreation and Parks for an evening of family fun with a beach campfire! S’mores, hot chocolate, and water will be included. Pre-registration is encouraged, but on-site registration is also accepted. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Leashed pets are welcome too!

Head to Fager’s Island on Saturday, October 18th for their annual Fall Wine Fest! Enjoy live music from Groovalicious and Fager’s Island wines, craft beer, half shell oysters, and hot and cold Fager’s Island seasonal dishes. Event admission also comes with a souvenir tasting glass.

Celebrate the fall season at Ocean City's 50th annual Sunfest! October 23-26, stroll the boardwalk and enjoy delicious food and drinks, 200+ artisan vendors, live music all day, fall activities, dog events, and more!

Music

Sunfest includes four days of free live music! This year, acts include Strange Souls: The Reimagined Doors, Fade to Black A Tribute to Metallica, Hank Azaria and the EZ Street Band, the Amish Outlaws, and Tropidelic. Check out the entire music schedule here!

Activities

Attendee-favorite activities like the bonfire, Beach Bicycle Show-N-Shine, and Delmarva Dock Dogs will return, along with seasonal OCtoberfest fun like the Howl-O-Ween Pet Parade, The Great Pumpkin Race, the Drive in Disguise Jeep parade, and the Halloween Beach Maze. New this year is a large-scale community mural!

Sunfest is a family-friendly Ocean City staple suitable for all ages. You won’t want to miss it—admission is free!

Head to the Ocean Bowl Skate Park for an afternoon of spooky fun at the Halloween Bowl Bash! This skate competition will include music and prizes for the best trick. There will also be prizes for the best costume, so be sure to dress up! 

Contestants must be registered with Ocean Bowl and be age 6 or older. Those under 18 must have an Ocean Bowl Waiver release form signed by a parent or legal guardian. Helmets required and safety gear recommended.

Each year, hundreds gather at Seacrets for their Halloween celebration, where one lucky costume contest winner wins a trip for 2 to Jamaica.
